MASC's Production of Moon Over Buffalo

moon over buffalo

By Ken Ludwig

Moon Over Buffalo is a non-stop comedy by Ken Ludwig that will have you belly laughing in your seats. The show follows the lives of the Hay family– George Hay (Brad Kinzel) and his wife, Charlotte (Stacey Tunnicliff), are failed Broadway actors that are now barely scraping by doing repertory theatre in Buffalo, New York. Their daughter, Rosalind (Tiffany Kesler), just wants an ordinary life and leaves the theatre and her spontaneous ex boyfriend, Paul (Joey Franks II), behind. When visiting with her new fiancé, Howard (JD Mette), things take quite an unexpected turn. There are comic misunderstandings, mostly caused by the hearing-impaired grandmother, Ethel (Karen Wood). Love affairs take place and leave poor Eileen (Regan Aycock) in a rather sticky situation, and Richard (Ethan Edwards) in a confused state. Lovers quarrel, doors slam, alcohol is consumed at an extremely fast rate, relationships rekindle, mishaps are had, and… on top of it all… Frank Capra is coming!

To get a glimpse into the farcical lives of theatre people, get your tickets for Moon Over Buffalo showing June 17-19 and 24-26 at the Historic Capitol Theatre in Waterloo, IL. Friday and Saturday showings will begin at 7:30 PM and Sunday matinees at 2:30 PM.
